Smart Alerts on Fynov: Price, % Change and FynovScore in Real Time
Watching the markets in real time is impossible and counterproductive. The solution isn't to look more often — it's to define precisely the conditions that deserve your attention and let Fynov alert you.
The four alert types available
1. Hypothetical Target (target price) Triggers when an asset's price rises above a threshold. Ideal for breakouts or to confirm that a signal's hypothetical target has been reached.
2. Risk Management Level Triggers when the price falls below a defined threshold. Matches the risk management level associated with Fynov signals — useful as a mental-stop alert before acting.
3. % Change Alert Triggers when an asset moves by X% up or down from your reference level. Particularly useful for altcoins that can swing violently within hours.
4. FynovScore™ Threshold Triggers when an asset's composite score falls below a threshold you define (0–100):
- Score below 40: conditions deteriorating, review the position
- Score below 60: an earlier warning signal
How to set up an effective alert
Step 1 — Identify your intent A price alert watches a specific technical level. A FynovScore alert watches a change in overall conditions. Decide first what you want to know.
Step 2 — Choose the right threshold
- For price alerts: use meaningful technical levels (support, resistance, ATH, psychological)
- For FynovScore alerts: 65+ for opportunities, 35 or below for warning signals
Step 3 — Define the associated action An alert with no prepared plan of action creates agitation, not discipline. Decide in advance: if this alert triggers, I do X.
Practical setups
Monitoring an existing portfolio
- Risk Level alert "NVDA below $850" → review the thesis if that support breaks
- FynovScore alert "NVDA falls below 40" → a second trigger, independent of price
Detecting opportunities
- Alert "BTC change +8%" → an unusual move to analyse
- FynovScore alert "SOL falls below 50" → a re-evaluation opportunity if the score recovers
Protection
- Risk Level alert slightly above your mental stop → warns you early so you can act without rushing
Notification channels
Fynov sends alerts through two channels:
- In-app: a notification in the dashboard on the next load
- Email: delivered to your account address, immediately on trigger
Limits by plan
| Plan | Active alerts |
|---|---|
| Pro | 5 simultaneous |
| Business | Unlimited |
Every active alert is checked every 15 minutes — fast enough to catch significant moves in volatile markets like crypto, where a significant move can happen and reverse in under an hour.
Alerts vs manual monitoring: the difference in outcomes
Manual monitoring means checking the app several times a day, which creates anxiety and encourages impulsive decisions driven by intraday volatility. Alerts shift your attention toward the levels that actually matter, letting you decide with perspective rather than in the urgency of a red screen.
